The instructor has over 16 years of experience using and teaching these advanced problem-solving and presentation techniques.  His relevant experience includes:
  • Central Intelligence Agency - He served for four years as an intelligence analyst with the US Central Intelligence Agency's Directorate of Intelligence.  His work was published in documents ranging from the President's Daily Briefing (pictured at right) to standalone research papers.  In addition to hands-on experience, he also attended a month long analytical "boot camp," which was his first exposure to these problem-solving and writing techniques.  During his career with the CIA his work was recognized with a CIA Exceptional Performance Award, his team was awarded a CIA Meritorious Unit Citation, and he was promoted three times for his performance. 

  • Bain & Company -  He spent three years as a consultant and case team leader for Bain & Company in their Dallas and London offices.  He worked on and led strategy engagements with clients in the US, UK, France and Spain in a variety of industries.  While at Bain, he was also a trainer in the Associate Consulting Training program, a two-week intensive session held annually to train new college hires from across all Bain's global offices in all aspects of Bain's consulting methodology. 

  • Capital One - He was a Senior Director of Marketing & Analysis with Capital One responsible for internet marketing strategy.  Over his five years with Capital One, he also taught several sessions of a full day course on structured problem-solving and writing to Capital One associates.
In addition to his work experience, he earned an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

He personally teaches all sessions of this training.
